Team Assistant

Salary: Band: 5, £25,652 - £27,363 p.a, pro rata (£23,225 - £24,774 for 33.5 hours)

 33.5 hours per week - worked over 5 days - hours to be discussed at interview.

Your New Role 

In this role you will be manning the Adult Care and support help desk and providing administrative and general support to the team within Adult Social Care. You will be taking calls from clients, professionals and members of the public, ensuring these are accurately recorded on the client database, signposting or providing information as necessary.  Administrative duties will include typing clients' assessments and other ad-hoc documents on behalf of practitioners, accurate data entry and sourcing of data on the client database and ensuring client records meet the needs of statutory reporting.  When meetings take place you will support these by taking minutes whether these are team making or client-specific.

What you'll need to succeed

With patience and empathy, you will have strong communication, literacy and numeracy and IT skills with significant experience of using Excel, Word and Outlook.  With a fast and accurate typing speed you will have a thorough understanding of data protection, information governance and GDPR.  You will be able to self-prioritise with a flexible approach with the ability to work with minimal supervision.  The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
