Job Introduction
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Workforce Development Officer to lead, coordinate, and enhance learning and development opportunities across Adult Social Care.
Your new role
This is a key role in embedding excellent social work practice and ensuring a high‑quality experience for NQSWs, students, apprentices, and qualified practitioners undertaking post‑qualifying development.
You will coordinate the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) for NQSWs, including reviews and the final moderation panel. This will include quality checks on assessments and supporting NQSWs and their assessors in developing their portfolios. You will work with regional partners to ensure consistency of practice and contribute to the national ASYE panel. In addition, the role will involve you working closely with local universities and practice educator/supervisor coordinating high-quality student placements whist managing and monitoring funding requirements related to these. In addition, you will provide workforce development advice guidance and solutions to senior leaders. You will also escalate any issue of themes that arise.
Who is the person summary:
A registered Social Worker, we are looking for someone who is committed to supporting others to develop, confident in building relationships, with practice educator/supervisors and frontline managers and external partners. You will have experience in designing or delivering training and workforce development solutions being skilled in both coordinating processes and inspiring practice. You will be able to use data to identify skills gaps, monitor progress and produce high-quality written reports whilst be able to prioritise, negotiate, influence and guide others more confidently. The role will require excellent verbal and written presentation skills as well as an attention to detail, methodical approach and a commitment to ongoing personal development. You will hold a driving licence as you will be required to go to different locations, moving equipment between sites.
